[Update 2021.04] Modern Gravel: Modern Designed Gravel Rims: AGX45 & AGX36
Gravel bikes can be ridden almost anywhere, on the road and off it. Adventure-ready features like disc brakes, additional clearance for wider tires, and comfortable geometry let these bikes adapt to everything from rugged terrain to winter exploration. These bikes are for the days when you're not sure where the journey will take you, but need the bike you know will get you there.
The AGX series carbon rims are the widest rims we've ever made for gravel bicycle, strong and light, meeting the needs of elite gravel riders, racers and cycling enthusiasts. The AGX series provides a stable platform for wider gravel tires from 35mm to 70mm. This series are aerodynamic designed in width and depth dimensions, delivering a fast cycling speed.
Quality is what we have always guaranteed. Rigidity and deflection control are the most important factors in measuring the quality of a road bike rim. Because of the use of better carbon fiber materials, Toray T700+T800, and the latest manufacturing technologies, we are able to control the rigidity and deflection of premium edition road carbon rims within 0.2mm. This is a very high accuracy.
Hook and hookless versions are both available for these AGX series carbon rims. The tire size for these rims is recommended at 35 ~ 70mm. The tire pressure is recommended at 30 ~ 80psi.
Advantage of Wider Wheels
Wide rims mean riding lighter, smaller performance tires with cushiony, high air volume and firm surface grip. Rolling resistance is lower with wider tires. Cornering grip is greatly improved. Ride comfort is greatly increased.
Tubeless-Compatible Design
Lower rolling resistance. By eliminating the inner-tube, the friction between tire and tube is also eliminated, allowing the tire roll, flex, and conform to the road with greater efficiency.
Flat less, ride more. Flat tires are a buzz-kill. With a little sealant you can eliminate nearly all flats that would have been caused by an intrusive thorn or piece of debris.
Run the Best Pressure. Tubeless means you can run the pressure you want to maximize comfort, traction, and rolling efficiency. Visit our tire pressure page to dial in your best tire pressure.
Hookless Design
Tubeless performance depends on the tire maintaining a light press-fit with the rim on the bead seat diameter. We chooses a hookless tubeless rim profile as it allows the rim’s critical tolerance at the bead seat diameter to be both consistent and accurate. In short, hookless is chosen to deliver a more safe, reliable, and ultimately proper tire fitment.
